  • Lab Equipment Specific Rules

    • All students will respect lab equipment at all times.

      • Damaged equipment will be reported immediately.
    • Programming pits will be cleaned before anyone leaves the lab.
    • No food allowed in programming pits.
    • Water permitted if contained in spill-proof bottles.
    • No lab desktop equipment will be moved unless directed.

      • This includes mice and keyboards!
    • During lectures and presentations, no one sits in the pits.
    • Students will treat each other with the utmost professionalism and respect. Period.
    • Collaboration does not mean cheating. Honor code strictly enforced.
    • Professionalism expected at all times.
    • Seating chart is not optional.
    • No hats or earbuds are authorized in the lab. Take them out/off.

      • Earbuds/music may be authorized during labs but only when specifically permitted.
      • Authorized religious headgear is obviously allowed according to dress code policy.
    • Disrespect to others will not be tolerated. We enforce a safe and professional community of learning at all times.

    Pushing Technical Boundaries is expected.

    We will learn new things, and creativity is expected. You will be surprised at the inventive liberty you can earn as you demonstrate professionalism and growth. Our goal is to implant technical prowess into every student in this lab, even when they don’t expect it or have the confidence yet that they need.
